Coogan’s Bluff movie With VOIP making inroads into the common household today, telephone companies have been literally forced to rethink their tariff plans. Earlier, when the internet was provided through a dial u connection, the use of VOIP was not very elaborate, but with the advent of high speed broadband internet connections, various telephone systems have emerged. These systems not only offer a secure and clear connection, but are also considerably cheaper than normal landline and mobile phones.
Thus, VOIP and similar telephone systems are now posing a great threat to the booming landline and mobile telephony market, by offering users cheap and efficient alternatives to the already existing mediums of communication.
VOIP networks like Skype are literally taking the world over- thanks to great service, durable and crystal clear sound quality and highly competitive rates (almost negligible rates in some countries, as compared to standard telephone systems). With such a competitive VOIP market, its high time that telephone service providers trim their international tariffs a wee bit more in order to stay afloat in the market.
